My Obsession

Since I am "laid up" here at home, I'm pretty much stuck in one place.  So, what better thing to do than knit?  I'm obsessed with the beanie pattern and wanted to finish one more before Christmas.  My husband has a beanie that his mother made for him back in the 70's I think.  It's made with lime green and brown yarn.  Enough said.  I know he's attached to it, but I'm hoping I can make a suitable replacement. 

He likes a beanie that has a roll around the face.  In order to make that change, I did 4 inches of k2 p2 pattern rather than just the 2 inches specified.   I also used a nice wool yarn that is a bit more masculine.  Here is the result:

Time will tell whether this will become a favorite!
